Fall Hair Trends We’re Loving

The Scrunchie Comeback

You can love it or hate it, but there’s no denying the scrunchie is back. This season’s scrunchies are a bit funkier, sporting sequins, embroidery and fun fabrics. You can find these accessories in both major retailers and on the runway. The styling opportunities are endless! From bubble ponytails to topknot buns, a scrunchie instantly ups the fun factor of any hair look. (Pro tip: a scrunchie can do double duty as a cute bracelet!)

Upgrade your scrunchie game with some of our favorites from KITSCH. We love the faux fur, velvet and satin scrunchies (which are perfect for sleeping, btw).

Effortless Waves

Typically for fall, sleek straightened hair is always on trend, but this season, flowy, loose waves are taking over. Beachy waves retain a hint of the breezy charm of the summer when paired with the fall uniform of darker colors. As the temperature drops, to protect your hair from breakage and damage, put your damp hair in braids. This gives your hair a break from heat products while also creating this laidback look.

Our favorite product to achieve texture and fullness is Kenra Dry Texture Spray. This will give your hair perfect effortless waves this fall season.

Bobby Pin Hair Flair

The runway is never short of bank-breaking beauty and fashion trends. However, this season, a hair trend that cost far less is becoming a major must-have: bobby pins! Whether your hair is short or long, bobby pins can be tucked behind the ear or stacked in a little row. The trend started during Paris Fashion Week and has surfaced back in the states from red carpets to street style.

Bobby pins can tame flyaways or hide greasy roots while elevating your basic hairstyle. We personally love crisscrossing the pins to create a halo around the hair. If you really want to stand out this season, try these KITSCH bobby pins embellished with beads, pearls or stars.

The Slicked Back Pony

You may remember the “wet hair” trend? Introducing its cousin, the slicked back ponytail. A super slick ponytail or bun complements almost any look, but pairs perfectly with chandelier earrings and an evening dress. Slick back a timeless ponytail (and try a middle part) for the ultimate off-duty look. Try a low pony for a little sass, then switch to a high pony to add glamour in seconds.

If you want to recreate this look, we recommend using Kenra Thickening Glaze to give your hair dimension and body. Apply throughout damp hair and, using a comb, tightly comb back your hair into a ponytail or bun. To lock everything in place, use Kenra Volume Spray 25. This spray resists wind and humidity, and will hold your hair for up to 120 hours.
